Author James Pressler to sign books at Crest Hill’s Book Market

WriteOn Joliet member James Pressler will chat and sign books from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020 at The Book Market bookstore, 2365 Plainfield Road in Crest Hill

The event is free and open to the public.

Pressler is career analyst who has lived a double life for the past two decades as a creative

writer, exploring the world beyond facts and figures.

His writing comes from a personal passion for storytelling, for offering new perspectives to

familiar themes, with moods ranging from friendly humor to serious observations on the darker

aspects of life.

Short stories and character sketches have been a compulsion for several years, and several stories

have since been published. His first published novel was “The Book of Cain” with two other manuscripts now being shopped.

Pressler also contributed, compiled, and designed the covers for three anthologies by the New

Lenox Writers Group, to which he belongs.

WriteOn Joliet is a welcoming, diverse group of writers of varied skills, interests, and experience. The group includes professional journalists, fiction novelists, bloggers, screenwriters, musicians, and poets.
