Author Phyllis Reynolds Naylor Doing Library Appearance Oct. 16
The Joliet native, who won a Newbery Award in 1992, will be speaking about the last book in her Alice McKinley series and about the writing process.

Joliet native and award-winning author Phyllis Reynolds Naylor will be at the Joliet Public Library Oct. 16 to discuss "Now I'll Tell You Everything," the last book in the Alice McKinley series.
Reynolds Naylor will also talk about the writing process and how Alice has grown up through the series during her 6:30 p.m. presentation at the library's Black Road branch, 3395 Black Road.
The event is free and no registration is required, but copies of "Now I'll Tell You Everything" can be reserved for $12 by registering on the library's events calendar, http://jolietlibrary.org/calendar, by Oct. 4.
Reynolds Naylor graduated from Joliet Township High School and Joliet Junior College and has written more than 130 books for children and young adults. In 1992, she won the Newbery award for "Shiloh," the first in a trilogy.
