Joliet issued the announcement late Wednesday morning.

JOLIET, IL - In wake of Wednesday morning's icy roads that blanketed the Joliet area, the city of Joliet announced that trash and recycling pickup handled by Waste Management is being delayed. Joliet residents who have regular garbage pickups on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Jan. 24-26, will have their trash and recycling products picked up one day later than usual, the city said. "Waste Management has suspended service for Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018," Joliet announced in a press release.

"Therefore, Wednesday service will take place Thursday. Thursday service on Friday, and Friday service will be on Saturday."
