Bakers Square On Jefferson St. Closes: WJOL
People in Joliet have eaten pie on Jefferson Street for decades, but no more.

JOLIET, IL — There have been a lot of new businesses coming and going on Joliet's busy West Jefferson Street for the past many decades, but one sitdown restaurant that was always a constant was the Bakers Square. But that's no more. On Monday night, WJOL broke the news that the Bakers Square has closed its doors forever.
It was located next to the shuttered Senor Tequila's bar, which is now a rundown empty building that is supposedly going to be torn for a new Basinger's Pharmacy. WJOL posted a photo on its website showing a sign on the front door for Bakers Square urging Joliet-area pie lovers to drive all the way to LaGrange Road, the Fox Valley Mall or to Woodridge to enjoy pie at the area Bakers Squares that will remain open.
For more, you can read the short story on WJOL's website about Bakers Square closing.
