Barolo Restaurant Owners Move On, Sell Business
Guy and Melissa Turi have sold their Barolo Restaurant, they announced Monday on social media.

JOLIET, IL — Guy and Melissa Turi announced that this past Saturday was their last day operating Joliet's Barolo Restaurant at 2765 Black Road. They have sold their business, they posted Monday to their Facebook page with more than 5,400 followers.
"It’s time for our next chapter. We are excited and blessed! Thanks for the memories. Our staff is family, special thanks to each of them for their love and service," the Turis wrote.
Joliet Patch reached out to the Turis for more details about the sale and whether the new owners plan to keep the Barolo Restaurant going as is — or whether there will be a new name and a different selection of food under the new owner.

Barolo Ristorante has been in Joliet since 2000. After originally opening in downtown Joliet, Guy Turi moved his Italian cuisine restaurant in 2008 to the strip mall near Black Road and Infantry Drive.
According to the Barolo restaurant's website, chef and Owner Guy Turi was born in Bari, Italy, and he trained at the Italian Culinary School in Rome.
