On the Beat with Joey Roth of Rocket Pro Wrestling
I interviewed Joey Roth of Rocket Pro Wrestling about the unexpected events of late at RPW.

I have known Joey Roth of Rocket Pro Wrestling for many years. I have never seen him like this.
For more than two decades, Joey has been a force on the Chicago-area wrestling scene. For the last several years, he has wreaked havoc, while guiding his World Famous Fabulous Idols to gold. Love him, hate him or love to hate him, Joey has always been a focal point. Now, all eyes are still on Joey, but for different reasons.
At September's Fall Brawl, we saw potential cracks in the Idols. Next came October's Darkness Falls, when darkness indeed fell on Joey, as he was low-blowed by his wife Roxi heart and beaten down by the Idols. At Harvest Havoc in November, Joey opened his heart, showing his confused emotional state and announced he was done. Roxi interrupted him and the Idols came to beat Joey a bit more, before former Idol Jonny Nigh made the save.

Now that you're caught up, you might be just as confused as Joey is, and me, too. Is Joey really done? Is this all a ruse? Do you even want Joey back?
As for me, I don't think Joey is done, although he might think he is. I don't believe this is faked. Joey is too hurt, emotionally and physically. Most important, I want Joey to return and I believe RPW fans want him back, too.

Unfortunately, my interview did not reveal many answers. It does show Joey in a state of vulnerability, questioning himself like never before.
My problem is I know Joey. I know he never gives up, or at least never did. While I know Joey is legit at a crossroads, I am not convinced he isn't planning his comeback. He wouldn't show it if he was. He would never give his targets any edge. Maybe that is my wishful thinking.
If he doesn't return to RPW, it will indeed be a huge loss. Of course, RPW has many stars, like Marshe Rockett, Steve Michaels, Maximus Orion and more, but Joey would sadly be missed.

Joey insists he won't be at RPW's Christmas Chaos on December 7 in Joliet. Joe Hendry will be there however, facing Rockett in a match that could main event anywhere. Other announced matches include:
- Rafael Quintero vs. Gunner Brave
- "The Dream Breaker" Aaron Stone and "The Right Hand of God Sam Knight vs. The Zero Gravity Outerlimits Champion Eric Schultz and The Ryan Matthews
- Joseph Von Jager vs. Maximus Orion
- Jonny Nigh vs. Jon Bowman
Prior to Christmas Chaos, Hendry will have a meet-and-greet from 2 pm-4pm. There's also a Windy City Ghostbusters Toy Drive.
Christmas Chaos shapes up to be a fantastic day at RPW. If (and that's a big IF), Joey makes a surprise return, that will be the best Christmas present of all.
