On the Beat With Steve Ahrendt of Rocket Pro Wrestling
Shortly after the recent amazing season debut of Rocket Pro Wrestling, I interviewed commentator Steve Ahrendt about the latest happenings.

Last Saturday night, Rocket Pro Wrestling kicked off its season with a fantastic day of wrestling fun at Fall Brawl. (This article contains no actual match spoilers.)
The day started early afternoon with Fan Axxess. Wrestlers and other RPW talent mingled with fans. There also was a short awards ceremony based on a fan ballot. It was a fun way to chat with the entire RPW family (including other fans) away from the wrestling ring.

After a couple hours, it was time for the RPW wrestlers and staff to get ready for the show. The fans continued to mingle, as we slowly made our way into the building and to our seats.

I immediately saw the layout had changed a bit and for the better. There was the usual lively music. Once the show started, the production values really stood out. RPW management obviously spends time and money on video and sound production. It is fantastic.
The matches were excellent. No surprise there. There were several titles on the line, with the usual surprises thrown into the mix. Long-time Chicago area wrestling staple C Red was a welcome addition to the commentating team of Shelly and Steve Ahrendt. After the event, I caught up with so many of the wrestlers, staffers and friends before leaving.

Last week, I featured an interview with Joey Roth and Roxie Heart of the World Famous, Fabulous Idols. The pair gave their version of the state of RPW, including a bit of their plans for Ahrendt.

After seeing the show, I had to get Ahrendt back for an interview to get his take on everything. A highly-respected presence on the wrestling scene, Ahrendt emphasized his love of RPW and his intent to continue to thwart the plans of the Idols. Ahrendt also spoke of what makes RPW special, C Red's role and more, including the next show, Darkness Falls on October 14.

I appreciate Ahrendt's time and consideration in giving me this interview. I thank RPW owner Bill Schelli for his hospitality. I encourage everyone to check out RocketProWrestling.com and to get to a show.
