Massive Barn Fire On County Line Road: 4 Joliet Fire Stations Respond To Blaze, 3 Photos Released
The Joliet Fire Department remained on the scene for 2 hours extinguishing hot spots.
JOLIET, IL — Practically every weekend, there is a fire igniting somewhere around Joliet and this past Saturday was no exception.
According to Joliet fire battalion chief Jim Batusich, at 1:45 p.m., the Joliet Fire Department responded to 12325 County Line Road for a structure fire.
He noted that company 10 arrived within 2 minutes of the call and found a large barn fully involved in fire. Crews performed an exterior attack on the structure and stopped the fire from extending to adjacent structures.

The property was vacant.
The Joliet Fire Department remained on the scene for 2 hours extinguishing hot spots. The structure was a total loss. There were no injuries to report. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
