Body Found In Des Plaines River Was Missing Joliet Man, 28
An Ozinga Concrete employee found the body Tuesday morning, Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said.

JOLIET, IL — In addition to investigating a Monday night homicide on McDonough Street, Joliet police say a body was discovered floating in the Des Plaines River on Tuesday morning. The victim has been identified by the Will County Coroner's Office as missing 28-year-old Joliet resident Kevontay Williams.
Joliet Patch previously reported that Williams was reported missing Aug. 18 and he was last seen on Aug. 4.
Authorities learned of Monday's incident at 7:15 a.m. along the 500 block of Railroad Street, which is close to the Des Plaines River.

Members of the Joliet Fire Department retrieved the body from the river. A representative of the Will County Coroner’s Office arrived and pronounced Williams dead.

The discovery marks the second week in a row a body was found in the river. Last week, the body of missing barge worker Artie Odom, 65,was recovered days after authorities believe he fell into the river.
