Joliet Central High School Students Sign Letters of Intent to Play at Collegiate Level

Eight Joliet Central High School student athletes were honored on May 10 at a special ceremony recognizing the intent to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.

Eight Joliet Central High School student athletes were honored on May 10 at a special ceremony recognizing the intent to continue their athletic careers at the
collegiate level.

Joliet Central Athletic Director Steve Locke, along with four JCHS coaches, were
present to introduce and recognize the eight student athletes. 

“These eight students are not only dedicated to their sports, but their education as well. I am very proud of each and every one of them for deciding to pursue
their athletic careers in college,” Locke said.

Students who signed letters of intent at the ceremony include: Bernasia Fox, Girls
Basketball, Joliet Junior College; Jalen Heath, Boys Basketball, Concordia
College in New York; Andrew Konchel, Baseball, Grace College in Indiana; Edward
McElrath, Boys Basketball, Judson University; Eduardo Espinoza, Boys Soccer,
Aurora University; Alejandro Haro, Boys Soccer, Benedictine University; Yessica
Reyes, Girls Soccer, University of St. Francis; and Romelo Clark, Football,
University of St. Francis.

Coaches presenting recognitions include: Eduardo Contreras, Soccer; Jeff Corcoran, Boys Basketball; Brian Reed, Girls Basketball; and Tony Juarez, Baseball.
