Joliet Township High School Alumnus Kenneth Strickland, has been named as the new Washington Bureau Chief and vice president for NBC News, effective October 9, 2012. Kenneth is a 1985 graduate of Joliet Central High School and a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Mass Communications. His proud parents are Rev. Lishers Mahone, Jr. (Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church-Joliet, IL & Joliet Region Interfaith Education Council member) and Mrs. Betty Mahone (Retired Teacher - Joliet Central High School).
