Brazilian Rockers Sepultura Announce 2022 Joliet Concert

The heavy metal band's North American "Quadra Tour" will stop at The Forge. The tour was postponed in 2020 because of the pandemic.

JOLIET, IL —Brazil hard rockers Sepultura announced last week that their 2022 North American tour - in support of the 2020 alum "Quadra"- will make a stop in Joliet. The tour was postponed in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

At 7:30 p.m., on March 12, 2022, Sepultura will play at The Forge, 22 W Cass St. Sacred Reich, Crowbar and Art of Shock will support the headliners. Tickets currently are available via Ticketweb.

According to a release, The 31-show tour will begin March 4 in Sacramento, California, and finish April 9 in Berkeley, California.

"We can't wait to go back onstage," Sepultura guitarist Andreas Kisser said in a statement. "We are very happy to announce our North American tour for 2022. We will see you all on the road, jamming old stuff, new stuff and having the greatest time of our lives. See you all soon stay safe!"

On the originally scheduled 2020 tour, Sepultura's only local stop was the House of Blues in Chicago.

"We are extremely excited to reconnect with everyone in North America for this upcoming tour," singer Derrick Green said. "We look forward to seeing all the people who have been anxious to see shows for the past two years. We will celebrate this re-connection of life and music together. See you soon!!"

Sepultura also announced that it will release a new album, "Sepulquarta,"on Aug. 13, which will feature recordings from the band's weekly "SepulQuarta" video podcast series. Scott Ian, Devin Townsend and other special guests will be featured on the album.
