Home Invasion On Buell: Joliet Man Captured
Joliet police have charged 40-year-old Ivan Barnard McGrone with four felony crimes in connection with the Oct. 15 incident on Buell.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department has charged a 40-year-old resident with two counts of home invasion in connection with an Oct. 15 crime that left another man injured inside his apartment in the 400 block of Buell Avenue.
On Monday, Ivan McGrone was booked into the Will County Jail. Last week, Will County Judge Donald DeWilkins issued a warrant for McGrone's arrest, setting bail at $150,000.
McGrone has been living in the 300 block of North Broadway Street, his warrant states.

Besides two counts of home invasion, McGrone is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and criminal trespass to a residence.
The complaint states that McGrone did not have authority to enter the victim's apartment on Buell Avenue. McGrone is accused of entering the apartment while armed with a gun and using force against a man who lives there.

McGrone, according to Will County prosecutors, was previously convicted in Cook County of delivery of a controlled substance, this week's Joliet charges show.
