Burglar From Joliet Captured In Yorkville: Police

Around 4:45 a.m., Yorkville police learned of a suspicious car in the 600 block of West Veterans Parkway. The call led to an arrest.

JOLIET, IL — Yorkville police arrested 35-year-old Joliet resident Gino Wuttke in connection with a burglary that happened early Monday morning. Wuttke has been charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, criminal property damage, theft of more than $500 and possession of controlled substances.

Yorkville police say officers were notified of a suspicious black-colored Audi sedan in the 600 block of West Veterans Parkway around 4:45 a.m. on Monday. After being notified of the incident, Yorkville police discovered a burglary may have happened at a nearby business.

Near Route 34 and Timber Ridge, Yorkville police tried to pull over Wuttke's Audi and that's when the 35-year-old Joliet man got out of his car and made a run for it, according to police.

The Yorkville officers captured Wuttke and booked him to the Kendall County Jail. The criminal defendant resides in the 3500 block of Joliet's Waterford Drive.

The Yorkville Police Department said it was assisted with this investigation by the Illinois State Police, Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and Plano Police Department.
