Busted In Joliet, Plainfield Man Jailed For His 4th DUI Arrest: Undersheriff Dan Jungles

He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility and given a court date later this month.

JOLIET, IL — A 66-year-old Plainfield man who was out driving in the middle of the night was pulled over in Joliet and arrested by the Will County Sheriff's Office for what turned out to be his fourth DUI offense, according to undersheriff Dan Jungles.

Ronald Uccardi is now facing numerous charges including felony Aggravated DUI.

According to the sheriff's agency just before 3 a.m. on Thursday in Joliet, a Will County Sheriff's Office deputy spotted Uccardi driving a vehicle with expired Illinois registration, speeding and making lane violations.

Jungles told Joliet Patch that the sheriff's deputy first spotted Uccardi's vehicle near the 1200 block of Plainfield Road in Joliet. The traffic stop took place at the intersection of Ruby Street and Raub Street, near the Cunningham Neighborhood area.

According to Will County, the sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop and smelled an alcoholic-based beverage on Uccardi, who agreed to take a Standardized Field Sobriety Test, which alerted the deputy to possible impairment. Upon further investigation, this was Uccardi's fourth arrest for DUI.

He was taken to the Will County Jail and released from custody and given a court date later this month.
