Buy Locally Grown Berries, Learn to Make Jam, Preserves
Strawberries, blackberries and raspberries are being sold through JJC and the Joliet Park District teach you to turn them into edible spreads.

The is offering a way to have your fruit and eat it, too.
Not only have they arranged to sell freshly picked berries through Joliet Junior College, it's offering a class this week that will teach you how to turn them into jams, jellies, preserves and marmalades.
However, you need not to take the class to buy the fruit. A 5-pound box of blueberries is being sold for $17.50; one pint red raspberries costs $4.50 and one pint of blackberries is $4.50.
