Back to School Backpack Event

The Will County Regional Office of Education invites families to its annual Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway, providing free backpacks filled with school supplies while supplies last.

Families can attend one of two events:

• Friday, July 31, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Early Learning Center, 1500 S. Sangamon St., Crete.
• Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Brooks Middle School, 350 Blair Lane, Bolingbrook.

A parent or guardian must accompany each child. At the Crete event, free Jet Dental exams will also be available.

The backpack giveaway is sponsored by the Will County Regional Office of Education under the leadership of Regional Superintendent Dr. Lisa Caparelli-Ruff and is designed to help students start the school year prepared for success.
