Three people are now sitting in the Will County Jail following last week's broad daylight homicide.

JOLIET, IL — For the past week, Joliet Police investigators were on the lookout for Jeremiah Gavin. The 22-year-old Joliet murder defendant remained at large following the noon hour shootout involving two cars on Republic Avenue. The shooting resulted in the death of 17-year-old Jeremiah Frazier. Shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday, Gavin was booked into the Will County Jail, and it's where he may stay for a while.
Bail was previously set at $2 million for Gavin, who lived in the unit block of East Clinton Street in Joliet. Gavin has been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated battery and being a convicted felon who was using a gun.
Gavin becomes the third person now lodged behind the steel bars of Will County's Jail. Joliet Police had already captured Rasean Stokes, 18, of the 1400 block of Yarrow Drive, Joliet, and charged him with murder and aggravated discharge of a gun. Additionally, Javontae Gray, 22, of the 600 block of Elmwood Avenue, Joliet, has been charged with obstructing justice and reckless discharge of a gun.
