The Carbonaro Effect Visits Rialto In January

JOLIET, IL — The Rialto Square Theatre on Tuesday announced that one of its first acts in 2019 will be famed magician and performance bizarrist, Michael Carbonaro. He will bring his highly-acclaimed national theater tour, “Michael Carbonaro Live!” to downtown Joliet for a 7 p.m. show Friday, Jan. 10, Rialto officials noted.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday. Seats for the Rialto show are $52.50, $42.50 and $32.50.

"Michael Carbonaro has performed over five-hundred comically perplexing and improbable feats of magic on his hit TV series, The Carbonaro Effect on truTV, currently in its fifth season," Rialto marketing officials announced. "A trickster at heart, Michael performs inventive tricks on unsuspecting members of the public who are unaware that he is a magician. Jaws drop when he causes a car to disappear from under a security guard’s nose or makes alien crabs transform into kittens in a science lab."

Carbonaro has been named “Magician of the Year” by the Academy of Magical Arts and presented with the first-ever “Copperfield Prize,” which recognizes an individual for elevating the art of magic, the Rialto noted.
