Central Alumni Charles and Peach Pierce (‘60) Give Back

Joliet Central High School Alumni (‘60) Charles and Peach Pierce visited art classes this week. Charles is an accomplished artist who shared various techniques related to portraiture, along with providing individual critique to students’ artwork.
The visit was twofold, as the Pierces drew the raffle winner for the profession prints of Charles’ painting of Central. Alumnus Mike Kostecki (‘60) won both copies and generously donated the second copy for display in the Central art room.
Also during the visit, band and choir students joined Charles in celebrating his birthday with a beautiful musical rendition of “Happy Birthday.”
