Charleys Cheesesteaks Opens At Joliet's Busy Intersection

JOLIET, IL — If you've been wondering when Joliet's first Charleys Cheesesteak and Wings would open at the Tony's Fresh Market supermarket shopping center, your wait is over. On Tuesday, Charleys opens for real. The dine-in and carryout restaurant is located along Larkin Avenue directly across the street from the Mickey's Tire & Service Centers.

"Serving the best cheesesteaks, fries, and real fruit lemonades in town since 1986," the Charleys Facebook page proclaims. "Our goal is to quench your cravings by serving the best cheesesteaks, fries, and real-fruit lemonade in the world."

Charleys is 111 N. Larkin Ave. Unit B. It will be open seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

"I love the location. It's the busiest intersection in Joliet," Charleys Cheesesteak Joliet General Manager Kevin Armstrong said of the new Charleys location. "I'm really excited. Everything is made fresh. All of our meat is 100 percent U.S.D.A. Choice, and we also cater."

"Our goal is to have our food for you in 320 seconds or less."

Charleys offers a Philly Cheesesteak, Chicken Philly, Bacon 3 Cheese, Chicken California and Chicken Teriyaki. For wings, you can order six, 10, 30 or 50 pieces and Charleys features nine dipping sauces: buffalo, bold BBQ, Sweet Teriyaki, garlic parm, Korean BBQ, Mango Habanero, Thai chili, lemon pepper rub and hot honey.

There's also everyday specials and combo meals. For sides, customers can buy original fries, gourmet fries, Mozzarella sticks and four-piece boneless wings. You can also order shakes, sundaes and ice cream cones.

Armstrong told Joliet Patch during Monday's interview that one of the best products available at Charleys is its original lemonade.

Armstrong said the lemonade tastes like the lemonade shakeups you'll find at a summer carnival.

Charleys lemonade is available in strawberry, peach, watermelon-strawberry and lemon.

Armstrong also wanted people to know that Charleys offers delivery services and people can order online.
