Chefy's Kitchen Announces It's Closing
Chefy's Kitchen & Catering at 1511 Plainfield Road had attracted lots of new customers despite the coronavirus outbreak.

JOLIET, IL — Chefy's Kitchen & Catering, a popular Joliet restaurant on Plainfield Road that was featured by the Joliet Patch during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic, has announced it is closing this month.
"After months of deliberation, Jason (Chefy) and I have decided to close Chefy's," Paula Taylor announced Thursday on Facebook. "We want to thank everyone for your faithful business over the years. We have been honored over the last 9 1/2 years to cater weddings, baptisms, birthday parties, retirement parties and celebrations of life."
The last day of business at Chefy's will be Oct. 24.

The Taylors operated Chefy's inside Fritz's Pour Houes at 1511 Plainfield Road the past six years. Before that, they were located at J.C. Catchers Tap in Crest Hill.
"We do everything homemade," Jason Taylor told Joliet Patch during last year's interview. "We bread our own cheese sticks, tenderize our own poor boys, and we grind our own burgers here."
