City Of Joliet: Downtown Parking & Street Restrictions, Closures Taking Place The Weeks Of October 25 & November 1, 2021

The City of Joliet would like to make visitors to the downtown area aware of street and public parking lot closures or restrictions taking place this week and next in order to allow film crews and actors safe access to Joliet’s historic downtown locations.

The Chicago Street parking lot, immediately across from the Rialto Square Theatre, will be closed for film crews from Monday, October 25 through Friday, October 29 and again from Monday, November 1 through Thursday, November 4, 2021.

The Ottawa Street parking deck will remain open for public parking but a number of spots will be reserved for film crews on Wednesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 28 and again on Tuesday, November 2 and Wednesday, November 3.

The following streets will be closed to traffic for filming and film crews on Wednesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 28 and again on Tuesday, November 2 and Wednesday, November 3:

• North and south lanes of Chicago Street from Clinton to Van Buren.
• East and west lanes of Van Buren from Chicago to Scott.
• West lane of north-bound Scott from Clinton to Van Buren (the eastern, north-bound lanes will remain open)
• Southern lane of west-bound Clinton from Scott to Chicago (the northern, west-bound lanes will remain open)

Joliet Police will be on site for intermittent traffic control. Questions or non-emergency issues should be directed to the non-emergency police phone line: 815-726-2491.
