C. Faye Smith, daugher of John O’Dell and Mamie Neal Fulmer, passed away peacefully at the age of 91, surrounded by her family.

Born on December 3, 1933, Faye was the devoted wife of the late Ralph Tommy Smith and the proud mother of five children: Bob Smith, Cynthia Piasecki, Shelia Edwards, Denice Clay, and Jaysen Smith. Her legacy lives on through her sixteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren, each of whom she cherished deeply.
Faye was a woman of unwavering faith and a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Morris, where she worshiped and served faithfully for 22 years. Her commitment to her faith was matched only by her love for her family and her gentle, compassionate spirit.

Known for her warmth, grace, and ability to make anyone feel welcome, Faye touched countless lives with her kind words and open heart. Whether through a shared meal, a quiet prayer, or a simple smile, she made those around her feel loved and valued.
She leaves behind a family strengthened by her example of patience, humility, and unconditional love. Faye’s presence was a blessing, and her memory will be treasured always.
Visitation for C. Faye Smith will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 (at Deerpath Drive), Morris, IL, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of her Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Calvary Baptist Church,225 George St., Morris, IL 60450, in her honor.
