Meet Joliet Patch Editors at Thursday Event

Joliet Patch is hosting a Main Street Meetup Thursday at the Black Road Branch of the Joliet Library to show you how to get the most out of our site.

We know you read Patch. You get your news every day in your email and breaking news alerts on your smart phones. We are your go-to site for local events and when you are looking for something to do with the kids on the weekend, you come to us for the breakdown.

But, there is so much more than that. Did you know that anyone in the community can sign up for a blog? There is no cost to do so and you can post about nearly anything you would like. Did you know that you can also post your garage sale? Not only that, but you can post your block party as well?

Many of you have found your way around our event section on your own, but did you know that not only can you post your time and place for your event, but you can upload photos and video and can ask friends to do the same.
