JOLIET, IL — A 32-year-old woman who has had multiple arrests over the years by Joliet police officers is back in the Will County Jail, this time following a felony shoplifting incident the day before Thanksgiving, according to arrest logs.

Joliet's officers found Bridget Price, who police maintain is homeless, at the Jewel supermarket at 1401 West Jefferson Street and took her away in handcuffs. She was arrested on felony retail theft and given a notice to appear in court for that offense. However, she remains in the jail because she had an outstanding arrest warrant in Pontiac.

The last time Price was arrested by Joliet police, she stayed in the Will County Jail for 475 straight days, ultimately reaching a plea bargain with the Will County State's Attorney's Office in November 2022, pleading guilty to unlawful possession of controlled substances with intent to deliver. As part of the plea, her other remaining felony charges were dropped.
