Coronavirus Claims Another Will County Resident, 33 New Cases

Another Will County resident has died fro coronavirus on a day when 33 new cases were announced countywide. Illinois has reported 34 deaths.

JOLIET, IL – Another Will County resident has died of Coronavirus on a day when 33 new confirmed cases among countywide were announced, according to the Will County Health Department. No information regarding the person who died was released, but it comes on a day when Symphony Joliet Nursing Center announced one of its patients had died from the virus on Friday morning.

The additional confirmed cases brings the Will County total up to 110. Of those 60 are female and 50 are male. According to Will County Health Department spokesman Steve Brandy, the 33 new cases are the most announced in a single day, surpassing Friday’s total of 27. The virus continues to be reported around Will County, where residents in 12 communities have been impacted. The announcement came on the same day that Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced eight more coronavirus-related deaths, which takes the statewide death toll to 34.
