Coronavirus At Donut Den On Theodore Street
Donut Den is the latest business on Joliet's west side to face a temporary coronavirus shutdown.

JOLIET, IL — This weekend saw temporary coronavirus closures at Longshots Sports Bar on West Jefferson Street as well as Bedrocks Bar in Shorewood. On Sunday night, Joliet's Donut Den restaurant, 3043 Theodore St., announced it won't be open Monday because an employee has tested positive for the illness.
"Sorry to report we have an employee who tested positive for Covid 19," Donut Den announced Sunday evening on its Facebook page. "Although this person has been in quarantine since August 1 an abundance of caution is being taken and we will be closed immediately while we have our space professionally sanitized and we get direction from the Will Co. Health Department."
Donut Den did not indicate when it anticipated reopening. But its social media announcement closed by stating, "Let's all stay healthy. We'll be back soon."
