Coroner: 'Freak Accident' In Morris Subdivision Kills Naperville Man
Chenping Ni was transported to the Morris Hospital Emergency Room where he was pronounced deceased shortly before 4 p.m.

MORRIS, IL — A 58-year-old Naperville man, Chenping Ni, died on Thursday afternoon during a tree-trimming accident, Grundy County Coroner John Callahan announced.
The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. in the area of 1005 Quail Drive in Morris.
The owner of the property at Quail Drive was trimming tree limbs from a ladder, according to Callahan.

"While trimming the tree, a limb came back and knocked Chenping off of the ladder causing him to fall to the ground," Callahan announced.
He said that Ni was transported to the Morris ER where he was pronounced deceased shortly before 4 p.m.

"This appears to be a tragic and freak accident and the incident remains under investigation," Callahan said in Friday's news release.
