Country Singer Dustin Lynch to Perform at Taste

The singer-songwriter is to headline Taste of Joliet's June 29 show, which will feature a lineup of young country music performers.

Dustin Lynch** will be among the country stars performing June 29 at the Taste of Joliet at Joliet Memorial Stadium.

The Joliet Park District announced the addition of the 27-year-old singer-songerwriter, whose debut album was a No. 1 hit on the country charts and spawned a No. 2 hit, Cowboys and Angels, on Tuesday. He will perform at 5:30 p.m.

Previously announced country acts for June 29 are Maggie Rose, who takes the stage at 4:30 p.m., Easton Corbin at 7:15 p.m. and Hunter Hayes at 9 p.m.

On June 28, the opening night of Taste, the musical acts scheduled to perform are Arra at 5 p.m., 7th Heaven at 6 p.m. and REO Speedwagon at 9 p.m. REO was last year's headliner as well, but the band's performance was stopped early after a violent storm moved through the area.

Typically, Taste of Joliet also offers live entertainment on the third day but the acts have not been announced.

Otherwise, general admission tickets for Taste -- which can be purchased in advance at www.tasteofjoliet.com -- are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors 62 and older and free for children 12 and younger.

** Editor's Note: A previous version of this story said Hunter Hayes was the act that was announced Tuesday. That was incorrect; Hayes had been announced on an earlier date.
