Crash At Six Corners, DUI Charges For Rockdale Man: JPD
At 1:35 a.m., Jonathon Patterson struck the rear of a Ford F350 truck driven by a 39-year-old Lockport woman, Joliet police announced.

JOLIET, IL — A 29-year-old Rockdale man was driving under the influence of alcohol and using his cell phone when he crashed into a Lockport woman at Joliet's busy Six Corners intersection, according to Joliet police.
Sunday's collision happened around 1:35 a.m. at Ruby Street and Plainfield Road. Jonathan Patterson was arrested on charges of DUI and cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operation of an electronic communication device and operation of an uninsured vehicle.

- Patterson was driving his Pontiac Sunfire eastbound on Ruby Street when he struck the rear of the Ford F350 truck driven by a 39-year-old Lockport woman.
- No injuries were reported, and Patterson advised officers he was using a cell phone at the time of the collision.
- Patterson showed signs of alcohol impairment, and he indicated he had been drinking.
- Patterson performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest without incident.
Joliet police later released Patterson from custody on an I-bond, authorities said.
