More Crimes At Joliet's Riverwalk Homes Public Housing Units, 2 More Arrests Made: Joliet Police

JOLIET, IL — Officers have made two more arrest at the old Evergreen Terrace public housing apartment units along North Broadway and Bluff streets, capturing 31-year-old Tyrone Jackson on charges including home invasion, disorderly conduct, criminal trespass and 35-year-old Bianca Summers on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.

There were two separate crimes that happened and both happened to the same victim, according to police.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 5:31 a.m. Dec. 7, officers responded to the Riverwalk Homes Apartments at 316 N. Bluff St. for a report of multiple people who forced their way into someone's apartment.

The officers met with an adult female victim who had visible injuries to her face. Officers determined that earlier in the evening, the suspect, Jackson, had been a guest in the apartment and allegedly struck the victim multiple times after becoming intoxicated, English said.

Police say the tenant escorted Jackson out and a short time later, Jackson returned to the apartment accompanied by other people. Jackson and the group began kicking the apartment door and ultimately forced entry, English said.

Once inside, Jackson is suspected of again attacking the victim before 911 was called and the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.

Two weeks passed.

Then, at 12:59 a.m. Dec. 22, officers responded to the same apartment for another disturbance. This time, Jackson, along with others, arrived at the apartment and began kicking the door while yelling for the victim to come outside, English revealed.

No entry was gained during the incident.

Jackson and Summers were located by Joliet police outside the building and taken into custody for this incident. Jackson initially attempted to use a false name. Officers located a pipe used for smoking narcotics upon a search of Jackson, the arrest report showed.

Jackson is now in the Will County Jail, while Summers was given a notice to appear at the Will County Courthouse for her charges.
