JOLIET, IL — A 33-year-old Chicago man who is accused of committing crimes of perversion at the Louis Joliet Mall's Fun Flatables indoor play center for kids was released from the Will County Jail last week.

The Will County State's Attorney's Office did not file a petition to detain Tyreese M. Russell under the Illinois SAFE-T-Act's dangerousness standard. In mid-January, Joliet police detective Chris Gombosi filed a criminal complaint at the Will County Courthouse, and an arrest warrant was issued by Will County Judge Art Smigielski indicating that Russell would be held without release and brought before the court for a pretrial detention hearing.

According to the complaint, Russell is charged with public indecency and disorderly conduct.

Back on Dec. 10, Russell patronized the Fun Flatables located at the Louis Joliet Mall, 3340 Mall Loop Drive, and knowingly exposed his sex organ in a lewd manner with the intent to arouse his sexual desires, the court documents show.

The disorderly conduct charge for Russell identifies another person by name as the victim. According to that charge, Russell knowingly did an act in such an unreasonable manner as to alarm or disturb another and to provoke a breach of the peace in that he masturbated in the presence of the victim.
