'Cruising For Smiles' Around St.Joe's Hospital April 22

Babe's Hot Dogs Cruise Night Car show Parade around AMITA St. Joe's Hospital, 6: 30 p.m. Wednesday.

Babe's Jumbo Hot Dogs is a local restaurant, owned by Tim Reilly, that has been in the Joliet area over 30 years hosting Cruise Night events. Since we are not able to gather, we decided to do a cruise night parade around St. Joe's Hospital last week. The weather was chilly and the parade still went on with over 40 cars joining us. We asked anyone with classic cars or just your regular car to join in, beep horns & flash signs, it brought tears to our eyes. We want to show the healthcare workers how much we appreciate them by putting smiles on their faces. This weeks "Cruising For Smiles" will be bigger than ever with a police escort, fire trucks, ambulance, tow trucks and anyone that wants to participate in any type of car whether its a classic or your every day car. The more the merrier!

Meet in Babe's parking lot at 2600 W. Jefferson St at 6pm to line up behind the black Chevy Avalanche. Parade will head out at 6:30 p.m. going east on Jefferson out of Babe's, left onto Springfield then right at Oneida and take 2 passes around the hospital.

Just a reminder, we cannot social gather so stay in your cars. We will also be collecting money for First Responder Meals. Babe's is a restaurant participating in accepting donations and for every $100 we receive, we feed first responders lunch! Thanks to our generous customers, we have been very successful as we have been able to send food out daily! Join the Joliet Area Restaurant Delivery/Curbside/Carryout Facebook Page and you can see where we have already delivered to.
