Sex Offender Arrested By Joliet Police
Last October, Joliet police arrested Demarkus Bailey after determining he spread a suspicious powder inside the police station lobby area.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet police have booked 45-year-old Demarkus Bailey into the Will County Jail on charges of failing to register as a convicted sex offender.
Joliet police said Bailey is homeless, while the jail logs show him living in the 0 to 100 block of East Clinton Street.
"Due to a previous conviction for a sex offense, Bailey is required to register at the Joliet Police Department on a weekly basis. Bailey failed to come to the Joliet Police Department to register as a sex offender on August 11, 2022, and he had not registered since," police reports show.
