Deer Kills Driver, 53, In Kendall County: Coroner
After being hit by a vehicle, the deer crashed through the windshield of a second vehicle, fatally hitting the driver.

MORRIS, IL — The Illinois State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving 53-year-old Christopher Daly who died when a deer went through his car's windshield in rural Kendall County. Grundy County Coroner John Callahan calls the case "a freak accident."
The victim, a rural Sheridan resident, was taken to the Morris Hospital where he was pronounced dead. On Friday morning, authorities said, a southbound motorist driving along Route 71 near North 47 Road in Newark struck a deer that went airborne and into the path of the oncoming motorist.
"The deer came through the windshield and struck Mr. Daly in the head causing serious injury," the Grundy County Coroner announced.

The crash remains under investigation by Callahan’s office and the Illinois State Police, authorities said.
