Delta Sonic Car Wash Sued By Customer
The lawsuit was filed last week at the Will County by customer Jesus Elizondo.

JOLIET, IL - On the heels of the two-year anniversary marking his visit to the Delta Sonic Car Wash at 1812 West Jefferson St., customer Jesus Elizondo has retained a Chicago law firm to sue the Joliet business in hopes of recovering more than $50,000 in damages, plus lawyers fees for bringing the case. Elizondo became seriously injured at the Delta Sonic on Dec. 4, 2016 as a result of a mechanical malfunction while washing his car, their lawsuit contends.
"That defendant ... had a duty to properly manage, control, operator and supervise automobiles in its car wash, including the plaintiff's vehicle," argues plaintiff's lawyer Robert A. Langendorf of North LaSalle Street in Chicago.
When Elizondo's car "was in the car wash, the car wash malfunctioned and moved the plaintiff's car and caused the plaintiff serious injury ... Jesus Elizondo Means, then and there sustained severe and permanent injuries, was and will be hindered and prevented from attending to his usual duties and affairs of life, has lost wages and has lost and will lose the value of that time as aforementioned," the lawsuit states.
