Disorderly Intruder Enters Glenwood Ave. Garage: Joliet Police
Joliet police officers arrested the 54-year-old Joliet man on Monday night in the 2100 block of Glenwood Avenue.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department arrested 54-year-old Joliet resident Cruz Palacios on Monday night following a disturbance inside a homeowner's garage in the 2100 block of Glenwood Avenue. Joliet police say that Palacios was intoxicated at the time he entered the couple's property. Police took him away in handcuffs on charges of criminal trespass to residence, disorderly conduct and resisting a pace officer, police reports show.
Joliet squad cars were called to the 2100 block of Glenwood Avenue around 8 p.m. Monday after learning that someone entered a residential garage and was not supposed to be there.
"Officers observed Palacios exit the attached garage of a residence that wasn’t his," Joliet police reports show.

However, Palacios refused to comply when officers ordered him to their squad.
"After a brief struggle, Palacios was placed into custody. Officers were able to determine that Palacios, who was intoxicated, was walking nearby and began yelling at the homeowner who was sitting outside her residence. The homeowner when into the house through the garage and Palacios followed her," Joliet police said.

According to police, Palacios was told multiple times to leave by the homeowners, but Palacios refused. Joliet police later released Palacios from custody on an I-bond, reports show.
