Domestic Abuser Found Hiding In Motel Laundry Room: Police
At the time of Jestin Boone's domestic violence arrest, Joliet police say he was concealing a rock of crack cocaine in his shoe.

JOLIET, IL - Joliet resident Jestin Boone finds himself locked up in the Will County Adult Detention Facility after police say he beat up his long-time girlfriend and was also hiding crack cocaine in one of his shoes in an unrelated crime. Boone, 32, of the 1000 block of Addleman Street, was booked into Will County around 4 a.m. on Monday, jail logs show. He is charged with a felony offense of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. According to Joliet police officials, Boone and his girlfriend had been dating the past 10 years and were living together in Joliet until just a few days ago.
Last Thursday, Boone grabbed the 29-year-old woman, slamming her head against the headboard of her bed, throwing her against a door and then dragging her around the house by her hair, according to police. However, the woman chose not to report that incident to the Joliet police at the time of the incident. By Saturday, Boone's belongings were put outside and the woman did not want anything to do with him anymore, according to police. Then, on Sunday night, a neighbor apparently saw a man attempting to get into the home. Police were called because the neighbor thought it might be a burglar. Police determined it was Boone and he managed to get away before officers arrived. Officers later spoke with Boone on the phone and he taunted them, basically telling them "if you can't catch me, you can't arrest me," according to Deputy Chief Ed Gregory.
Officers spoke with Boone's ex-girlfriend, and she told them about the domestic violence she endured back on Thursday night, police said. Ultimately, police tracked Boone to a motel in the 3000 block of Mall Loop Drive where he had checked in. At the motel, Joliet officers found Boone hiding in one of the laundry rooms behind one of the machines, police said. Boone's problems only got worse.
