Domestic Violence At Mark's Service Center Spurs Arrest: JPD
While James Macmillan was driving, he got into an argument with his passenger, attacking the woman, Joliet police said.

JOLIET, IL — A 35-year-old man from Streator was arrested Sunday morning by Joliet police after officers say James MacMillan attacked a woman inside his vehicle during an argument, throwing a phone at her face and hitting her, Joliet police said.
The incident unfolded after MacMillan pulled into the Joliet business parking lot of the Mark's Service Center, 4302 West Jefferson Street, which is just south of the Interstate 55 exit.
Joliet police responded to the domestic violence incident and arrested MacMillan on charges of domestic battery, authorities said. The incident happened around 9:30 a.m. inside MacMillan's automobile, police reports show.

The victim is someone MacMillan had a romantic relationship with, police noted.
"While Macmillan was driving in a vehicle with the victim as his passenger, an argument took place and Macmillan struck the victim in the face and threw a cellphone at her, striking her face," police spokesman Dwayne English said. "He then pulled over in the parking lot. MacMillan was on the scene and was placed into custody without incident."

English said the victim refused any medical assistance.
