JOLIET, IL — Joliet City Councilman Don "Duck" Dickinson announced Saturday that he is not seeking another four-term on the council in next April's city elections. Dickinson is one of three at-large incumbents up for re-election. The other two are Jan Quillman and Mike Turk.

"My life has changed in so many ways over the last four years," Dickinson wrote in Saturday's announcement.

"I will not be running to retain my seat. I've enjoyed most of my time on the Council. I just want to spend more time with my loved ones. The time has come for me to step away from politics. I will finish my term, but that will be it. "
