JOLIET, IL — The New Orleans North's Friday night Drag Show presented by the Joliet Pride Network drew a tremendous positive response as several hundred people flocked toward the main stage to watch and dance along with the music.

The drag show featured two performers Ebony Delite Samore and Fonda La Femme. Both Ebony and Fonda drew lots of applause from the cheering crowd, as well as tips afterward.

"Thank you for showing the love," a Joliet Pride Network representative told the crowd. "It's June, it's Pride Month so if you're not an ally of the gay community, that's a hate crime. I'm just going to throw that out there right now," they added, as the crowd cheered loudly.

The Joliet Pride Network is having another big event this weekend on Sunday at the Joliet Holiday Inn & Suites off I-80 and Houbolt Road. It's a Drag Brunch and Variety Show.

"All right, tickets at the Rise booth," the Joliet Pride Network told the New Orleans North crowd at the main stage. "These two and six more performers on Sunday at 11 o'clock, $25 if you want to see the show or if you want unlimited brunch and mimosas — and you do, $50. We don't have many tickets, but we'd love to sell it out because how do you not come and watch these two and six others, so, one more time let's welcome Ebony and Fonda back to the stage for a final group number. Thank you all! Thank you so much! Joliet Pride Network on Facebook, our Instagram. We're a charity. Send us lots of money, please!"
