Drew Peterson Song Performed at Schuba's Last Week

The Chicago band Esta Vivo performed at Schuba’s Tavern last week and played the song “Drew Peterson, The Romantic.”

“Está Vivo began the night off with a lovely intimacy we would see carry on later,” Gaper’s Block said of the Thursday show.

Of “Drew Peterson, Romantic,” not to be confused with Drew Peterson: Untouchable, the Lifetime movie starring Rob Lowe and based on the critically acclaimed true crime sensation Fatal Vows: The Tragic Wives of Drew Peterson, by me, Joe Hosey, Gaper’s Block said the song “adds a surprisingly dark humor to the sunny guitars that only emphasizes the fun weirdness of the band. There was something strangely enjoyable about hearing McMahon softly sing ‘Wouldn’t it be nice if you just died tonight?’”

Peterson, 60, was found guilty of killing his third wife, Kathleen Savio, and is serving a 38-year prison sentence at Downstate Menard Correctional Center. Peterson’s fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, disappeared in October 2007 and remains missing.

The Illinois State Police named Drew Peterson as a suspect in Stacy’s “potential homicide,” but never actually charged him with harming her.
