Driving While High In Joliet, Police Make Arrest: English
Nicholas Buttron, 32, of Kankakee, was arrested and taken to the Will County Jail by Joliet police on charges of DUI-drugs.

JOLIET, IL — A 32-year-old man who comes from Kankakee, Nicholas Buttron, remains in the Will County Jail unable to post his $3,000 bail following Thursday evening's arrest by Joliet police on charges of driving under the influence of drugs.
Buttron's arrest happened around 8:30 p.m. while it was dark outside in Joiet. Buttron, on the other hand, was driving without using his headlights and tail lights, according to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English.

- Joliet police conducted a traffic stop on a Hyundai Sonata in the 2000 block of South Chicago Street for no headlights or taillights.
- While speaking to Buttron, officers detected an odor of cannabis coming from inside the Kankakee man's car, and Buttron appeared to have remnants of suspected cannabis on his lap.
- Buttron also exhibited behaviors of impairment.
- Buttron performed field sobriety tests and taken into custody without incident.
- Officers recovered suspected cannabis from inside the Hyundai Sonata.
- Buttron was also cited for improper lighting and unlawful possession of cannabis by driver. His car was towed from the scene.
