Drunk Driver On Broadway Street Crashes Into Sign: Police
Joliet police say Bacillo Valle was driving drunk around 1:30 a.m. Monday and he had two of his children, 8 and 11, riding as passengers.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet police arrested a 40-year-old Joliet resident on felony DUI charges after police say Bacillo Valle was driving under the influence of alcohol when he crashed into a sign post along Broadway Street early Monday morning. When officers stopped his car several miles away, officers noticed Valle was driving with his 8-year-old and 11-year-old children inside the vehicle as passengers, according to police.
Valle, who lives in the 500 block of Miami Street, was booked into custody at the Will County Jail around 4:15 a.m. on two counts of aggravated DUI and one count of endangering the life and health of a child.
Joliet police say that patrol officers pulled over Valle's car near Maple Road and Ridgewood Avenue around 1:25 a.m. after noticing his driver-side tires appeared to be flat with apparent recent heavy damage to the vehicle.

According to police, Valle was the driver and his two children were in the vehicle, ages 8 and 11.
"Valle advised officers that he had been drinking and exhibited signs of alcohol impairment," Joliet police announced. "Valle failed sobriety tests and was taken into custody without incident."

Police said the children's mother arrived on the scene and took custody of the 8-year-old and 11-year-old.
"While officers were on scene with Valle, officers determined that Valle had struck a signpost in the 700 block of North Broadway Street prior to being stopped by officers," Joliet police reports show.
