JOLIET, IL — A 23-year-old Joliet man from the 1400 block of Fifth Avenue was booked into the Will County Jail in connection with a head-on crash along Caton Farm Road on Thursday night. Joliet police arrested Eliezer Cruz on charges of aggravated DUI, no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage and driving on the wrong side of the roadway.
Cruz crashed into a 19-year-old Plainfield resident's Chevrolet Malibu around 11:35 p.m. at Caton Farm and Pebble Beach Drive, Joliet police said.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said the Plainfield teenager was driving west on Caton Farm Road in the left lane while Cruz's Mercedes Benz C300 was eastbound on Caton Farm Road; Cruz veered into the westbound lanes, crashing into the Plainfield motorist's car.
