Drunken Dad Clubs Daughter With Board But She Hits Back & Gets Him in Head: Cops

The daughter was hit in the arm, she got dad in the head, and he went to jail, police said.

A drunken Joliet father threw things at his wife and took a two-by-four to his daughter—but she hit back and the cops carted him off to jail, police said.

Edelmiro Mancinas, 52, of 207 E. Webster St. was charged with aggravated battery, domestic battery and aggravated assault in connection with the 7 p.m. Sunday incident at his home.

Mancinas’s three daughters were in the basement of the residence when they heard an altercation and went upstairs to see what was going on, police said.

One of the daughters, a 24-year-old, told officers her father was “definitely intoxicated and throwing things at her mother,” police said.

The husband and wife emerged from the house and were in the driveway when Mancinas grabbing a two-by-four and started swinging, police said.

He allegedly connected with the 24-year-old daughter, hitting her in the arm and leaving her bruised and cut.

The injured daughter responded by picking up her own piece of lumber and swinging back, police said, hitting her father in the head.

Mancincas was taken to the Will County jail.
