DUI, Assault Charges For Woman, 23, Who Crashes Into Parked Car: JPD
While speaking to Adriana Esparza, the 23-year-old woman became angry and charged at an officer in an aggressive manner, Joliet police said.

JOLIET, IL — A 23-year-old woman from the 1400 block of Phoenix Lane is now in the Will County Jail after Joliet police say Adriana Esparza was intoxicated when she crashed into a parked car early Sunday morning, causing the parked car to collide with a tree.
Esparza was taken away from the scene by Joliet officers, and she's been charged with DUI and aggravated assault of a peace officer.
The incident happened around 3 a.m. in the 3300 block of Forest View Drive.

Officers determined Esparza was driving a vehicle eastbound in the 3300 block of Forest View Drive when she lost control of her vehicle, striking an unoccupied vehicle parked facing westbound on the street, Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English indicate.
"Officers detected the odor of alcohol coming from Esparza and she exhibited behaviors consistent with alcohol impairment," English said, adding that "Esparza advised officers that she was intoxicated."

While speaking with Joliet police, Esparza became angry and charged at an officer in an aggressive manner, police reports show.
"Officers placed Esparza into custody with no further incident. Esparza’s vehicle was towed from the scene," English added.
