Electronics Recycling Site to Open in Downtown Joliet

All residents of Joliet and Will County are able to drop off up to two televisions sets and other unlimited amounts of electronics for free.

JOLIET, IL — A new electronics recycling center will open Oct. 25 in Joliet.

The site will have limited hours, an ID requirement, and will be open from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. every second and fourth Tuesday of the month in the County Parking Lot located at the northwest corner of South Ottawa Street and West Marion Street. For Google maps, please use 57 W. Marion Street to get directions. Absolutely no items can be dropped off during any other days or times.

All residents of Joliet and Will County are able to drop off up to two televisions sets and other unlimited amounts of electronics for free as long as they show ID. That can be in the form of a driver’s license or a state ID.

Will County has also partnered with Lockport Public Works, Peotone Police Department, Village of Romeoville Public Works, and the Township of New Lenox to offer electronic recycling collection opportunities in those communities to all Will County residents.
