Family Cookout Isn't Cleaned Up, Joliet Woman Becomes Violent: JPD
Elvia Garcia, 46, of the 900 block of Elizabeth Street, was arrested late Wednesday night by Joliet police on domestic battery charges.

JOLIET, IL — A 46-year-old Joliet woman is in the Will County Jail after Joliet police say she attacked one of her relatives late Wednesday night because no one at her house was cleaning up the place following a cookout.
Elvia Garcia's arrest happened at her place in the 900 block of Elizabeth Street, on the city's west side. She's being charged with domestic battery. Joliet police were called to the house around 11 p.m.
"Garcia had been drinking and became upset over no one cleaning up after a cookout," Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English announced. "Garcia is suspected of then punching and scratching the victim. The victim refused medical treatment. Garcia was placed into custody without incident."
